Rice Hope is a master-planned community in Port Wentworth, at the north edge of Chatham County just off I-95. D.R. Horton built it around a resort-style amenity package, and that package is the headline.
It sits close to the major employers north and west of Savannah, with Pooler Parkway, the airport, and Tanger Outlets all within ten to fifteen minutes. Downtown Savannah is about a twenty-minute drive.
The homes are newer construction from two to five bedrooms, up to about 2,361 square feet, with open-concept layouts. Standard finishes include quartz countertops, shaker cabinets, stainless appliances, and smart-home technology.
Pricing is set for accessibility, which makes Rice Hope one of the easier ways into new construction in the Savannah metro. New phases open as the community grows, so inventory stays available.

Rice Hope is served by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, with Port Wentworth-area schools including Rice Creek School (K-8) and Groves High School. SCCPSS is making attendance boundary changes for the 2026-27 school year, including redistricting that affects Port Wentworth, so confirm the current zone for any address before you buy.
