Marsh Harbour

About Marsh Harbour

Marsh Harbour is a gated waterfront community on Whitemarsh Island, positioned along Turner's Creek where the tidal waterways open up to broad marsh views and serious water access. It's a quiet community, low inventory, and the kind of address that people who know the islands market specifically ask about.

Whitemarsh Island sits midway between downtown Savannah and Tybee Island, about 8 to 10 miles from each. The island has its own commercial hub, strong schools, and the relaxed pace that island living tends to produce. Marsh Harbour occupies one of the more desirable pockets on the island, with lots that take full advantage of the waterfront setting.

The Homes

Homes in Marsh Harbour are custom built on larger lots, many with private deepwater docks on Turner's Creek. Architectural styles run toward coastal and traditional: two-story homes with wide porches, gourmet kitchens, soaring ceilings, and layouts designed around the view. Some lots exceed 1.5 acres with 200 or more linear feet of waterfront.

Prices reflect the waterfront premium. Current and recent listings have ranged from around $1.2M to $3.8M and beyond for the most significant estates. This is one of the upper tier communities on Whitemarsh Island, and the lot sizes and water access back that up.

The community has gated entry and a community dock, with direct boat access to Turner's Creek and the broader waterway system connecting to the Wilmington River, Intracoastal Waterway, and ultimately the Atlantic. Fishing, crabbing, and boating are regular parts of life here.

Whitemarsh Island's commercial strip along Johnny Mercer Boulevard means grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday conveniences are minutes from the gate. Downtown Savannah is about 10 minutes west. Tybee Island is about 13 miles east.

The Amenities & Character

Marsh Harbour is a community that attracted people who wanted a home that was built for the water. It's a small community and it shows: neighbors know each other, turnover is low, and the lots were chosen because the setting is genuinely worth protecting.

Downtown Savannah is about 10 minutes west on Highway 80. Tybee Island is about 13 miles east. The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is roughly 25 minutes, making this a practical island address for people who travel frequently.

The Lifestyle

Marsh Harbour is served by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System within the islands attendance zones. Students attend Marshpoint Elementary, Coastal Middle School, and Islands High School. St. Peters and St. Andrews are two private schools also located on the Islands.
