ABOUT BERWICK LAKES
The Villages at Berwick is a collection of subdivisions, both gated and ungated, about ten miles southwest of historic Savannah along Highway 17, roughly halfway between the city and Richmond Hill. The broader Berwick area takes in Berwick Lakes, Stonelake Townhomes, Stonebridge, Chapel Park, and a few others.
It's mostly newer construction on curving, tree-lined streets, with crepe myrtles and live oaks throughout. Each sub-community has its own setup, but they share the same easy, suburban feel.
There's real variety here. Homes range broadly from townhomes and smaller single-family homes up to larger four and five-bedroom homes. Most are recent builds, so you get newer systems and layouts.
The variety is part of the appeal. You can find a low-maintenance townhome or a larger home inside the same broader community, depending on what you're after.
The Homes
Most of the Berwick communities come with private amenities: pools, clubhouses, tennis courts, playgrounds, and basketball courts. They're built for easy, everyday use close to home.
The Berwick Marketplace, anchored by Kroger and surrounded by restaurants and services, sits right outside the gates, so groceries and errands are a two-minute trip rather than a drive across town.

Berwick works well for people who want newer construction and suburban convenience without a long commute. It's practical, tidy, and easy to live in.
Life in Berwick is easy in the day-to-day sense. The streets are lined with crepe myrtles and oaks, there's a pool and a clubhouse to walk to, and the Berwick Marketplace is a golf cart ride away when you need groceries or a quick dinner out. You're twenty minutes from downtown Savannah and about the same to Richmond Hill, Pooler, and the airport, so wherever you're headed, it's a short trip.
The Lifestyle
Berwick is served by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. This fast-growing southwest corner has seen attendance boundary changes, so it's worth confirming the assigned schools for a specific address with the district.
