Bradley Point
About Bradley Point
Some places make you slow down before you've even put the car in park. Bradley Point is one of them. It sits on the quiet southern end of Wilmington Island, where the streets stay calm and the marsh opens up wide and gold in the late light. You pull in, you exhale, and the day's noise stays back on the bridge.
Homes here sit on generous lots shaded by trees that were standing long before the houses were. You'll find midcentury ranches next to newer builds, many of them facing the marsh with water somewhere past it. Lots run roomy, the streets are quiet, and a fair number of properties look straight out over the wetlands toward the surrounding creeks
Wilmington Island stays one of the more sought-after addresses on this side of Savannah, so well-kept homes on the south end don't tend to linger. If you've had your eye on the island, Bradley Point is one of the spots worth watching closely.
The Homes
Wilmington Island is one of those rare places where you almost never have to leave for the ordinary stuff. Groceries, restaurants, and a handful of marinas are all right here. The Savannah Country Club, the island's historic 1927 Donald Ross golf course, rounds out the local options with tennis and a pool. There's a YMCA with forested trails when you want to move, and a few seafood spots near the water when you'd rather not cook.
Down at the southern tip, the community park gives you nature trails and a slow walk by the water whenever you want one. Boaters have their pick of deepwater marinas, with the Wilmington River right there to point you toward Tybee, downtown, or open water.
The Amenities & Character
Bradley Point makes sense if you're after space, marsh views, and a slower rhythm than the city keeps. It draws people who'd rather have room to breathe than a crowd to keep up with: families, professionals winding down from the day, and folks who've quietly decided this is where they want to stay a while.
When you do feel like roaming, Tybee's beaches are about ten miles east and downtown Savannah is roughly eleven miles the other way. Close enough to have the city when you want it. Far enough to leave it behind when you don't.
The Lifestyle
Bradley Point falls under the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, on the island feeder that families move here for. Kids are zoned to Marshpoint Elementary, then Coastal Middle, then Islands High, which serves Wilmington, Whitemarsh, Talahi, and Tybee. Having all three close by, on the island itself, is a big part of why Wilmington Island holds its draw for buyers with children. There are private options on the island too: St. Andrew's School, an independent PK-12 college prep and St. Peter the Apostle, a Catholic parish school.
